CNC MACHINIST (STARLINK) - 2ND SHIFT

We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system - thousands of satellites, consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We are looking for best‑in‑class CNC machinists to help maximize Starlink's utility for communities and businesses around the globe. Responsibilities Responsible for setting up, operating multi‑axis CNC machines (mills and lathes) up to and including 5‑axis mills and 6‑axis lathes Responsible for all types of drilling, tapping and milling and turning Completing machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions Responsible for machining complex, tight‑tolerance parts and various materials Material prep, deburring parts, hauling chips, oiling machines, sweeping up and initiating or assisting in organizational tasks Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency certificate 3+ years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC machines G‑code experience Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with GD&T or interpreting blueprints/manufacturing drawings Short‑run, prototype, non‑production machining experience Horizontal mill experience Experience running lathes and live tooling Additional Requirements Must be available for 10‑hour shifts, estimated shift time: 2nd shift (4:00 PM to 2:30 AM) Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs unassisted Able to stand for extended periods—8 hours minimum Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting Compensation and Benefits Level 1: $23.00 – $29.00 Level 2: $28.00 – $34.50 Level 3: $33.00 – $40.00 Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
