Manufacturing Engineer

Overview:

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in automated coating processes to support high-volume manufacturing operations. This role will lead equipment installation, process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives while managing capital projects from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Launch, commission, and optimize automated coating lines and manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve reliability and performance.
• Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and work cells.
• Manage capital equipment projects, including vendor selection, procurement, installation, and startup.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality, productivity, and throughput.
• Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and operating procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with coating technologies such as powder coating, E-coating, electroplating, or dielectric coating.
• Experience supporting welding, machining, fabrication, brazing, forming, or assembly operations.
• Proven project management and capital equipment experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and continuous improvement skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• APQP experience and high-volume manufacturing are a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
