Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the relevant state and specialty standards. Collaborating with medical professionals and the care team, the RN will provide individualized, compassionate care through phone assessments in emergency rooms, evaluate clinical presentations of patients needing psychiatric hospitalization, and work with a multidisciplinary team to determine the best care for those with psychiatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical presentations for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
• Respond to community inquiry calls.
• Conduct telehealth assessments to determine the appropriate level of care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Experience:
  • Preferred 1-3 years in a behavioral healthcare setting performing clinical assessments.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working directly with patients exhibiting psychiatric symptoms.
• Comfortable with technology and effective in a multidisciplinary team environment, including RNs, MDs, SWs, and other QMHPs.
