LPN / RN - School Individual Care Nurse

Caring and compassionate licensed practical nurse or registered nurse to provide nursing care for a medically fragile, elementary male child while at school. Meet child at home for transportation pick up and drop off in Charlotte, NC 28211. Hourly pay: LPN-$33 / RN-$39.

Schedule days and hours (on school days):

• Monday 7:45A-2:45P
• Tuesday 9:15A-2:45P
• Wednesday 10:15A-2:45P
• Thursday 9:15A-2:45P
• Friday 7:45A-2:45P

LPN / RN nursing duties:

• Document care on tablet
• Administer medication
• Monitor swallowing and seizures
• Administer G-tube feeding
• Navigate wheelchair user
• Provide ADL's

Job requirements:

• LPN experience: One year of LPN experience within the last 3 years
• RN experience: One year or RN experience within the last 3 years or previous LPN experience of 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must complete online assessments
• Must have CPR certification (no online courses)

Nursing responsibilities:

• Provide individualized nursing care to student, including medication administration.
• Complete charting on tablet every 2 hours.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide feedback on input on the care planning.
• Maintain accurate charting and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Administer basic life support and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Report care duties to parent/guardian at hand off.
