Maintenance Service Specialist (1st Shift) Location: MicroPort Orthopedics, 5677 Airline Rd, Arlington, TN 38002, USA Job Category: Facilities/Maintenance Requisition Number: SRMAI002749 Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: 1st Shift Posted: May 6, 2026 Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting and evaluate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical units and controls to determine source of malfunction. Use blueprints, machine specifications, and schematic drawings to determine repair procedures. Remove and replace defective units, controls, or components; test and repair components such as PC boards, power supplies, and control stations with oscilloscopes, VOMs, logic probes. Adjust sensitive electrical, thermal, and timing devices to machine specifications. Start repaired or new equipment to verify readiness for operation. Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Maintain valid current driver's license for traveling to local vendors for repair parts and supplies. Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment. Monitor all daily Industrial Wastewater Discharge Points (pH pits and outfalls). Licensing, Registration, and Certification Valid current driver’s license required. Current forklift and aerial license required or willing to obtain within first 6 months of hire. Education High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related technical field strongly preferred. Experience Minimum 1 year experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including repairing CNC equipment OR minimum one year experience as a Machinist. Preferred: 3 years’ experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician in the same area; Senior: 5 years’ experience. Key Skills Ability to replace ball screws, servo motors, solenoid valves, control boards. Proficiency in soldering, welding, and fabricating. Knowledge of VOM, clamp-on ammeter, hammers, pliers, and wrenches.
