Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring, ensuring accurate assessment and timely intervention. Acts as a pivotal member of the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes in an acute setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition and interpret telemetry data to identify abnormal rhythms and potential complications.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans incorporating physiological and psychosocial considerations.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, support staff, and families to coordinate patient care and education.
• Monitor, record, and report patient status and responses to treatment accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and industry standards to ensure patient safety and compliance.
• Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Current CA Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum of one year recent experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications from recognized providers required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting telemetry strips and clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills to manage stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
