Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed healthcare provider. This role is responsible for administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, maintaining accurate medical documentation, and assisting with daily patient care in a clinical healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
Current CPR/BLS certification required
Knowledge of practical nursing procedures, pharmacology, patient care practices, and medical terminology
Understanding of HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality standards, and healthcare compliance requirements
Ability to accurately document patient information and maintain detailed medical records
Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to recognize emergency or unusual patient conditions and respond appropriately
Proficiency in the use of medical equipment and healthcare documentation systems
Physical ability to assist, reposition, or restrain patients when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, long-term care, behavioral health, or healthcare facility setting preferred
Experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams preferred
