Become a Key Player as a Cyber Defense Analyst

You will help detect, investigate, and contain cyber threats to protect the organization's data and maintain business continuity. You will collaborate with a global 24x7 defensive operations team and coordinate with CSIRT members across incident response, threat hunting, and detection engineering. This role is Hybrid - 2 days in the office (Wednesday-Saturday schedule) based in Lehi, UT.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

• Analyze and respond to alerts from multiple sources to identify potential incidents
• Conduct investigations to identify indicators of compromise and establish scope
• Perform event correlation using enterprise data to develop situational awareness
• Coordinate containment and response activities with CSIRT team members
• Maintain meticulous case management and documentation to support incident dispositions
• Participate in rotational activities across incident response, cyber threat hunting, and detection engineering
• Contribute to case reviews and identify opportunities for improved investigation processes and automation
• Stay current on emerging threats and attack vectors
• Create and update investigative process documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

• Experience conducting cybersecurity investigations or related activities
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think critically under pressure
• Familiarity with SIEM systems and a broad set of security tools and investigation-supporting datasets
• Understanding of security and privacy fundamentals
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative mindset and ability to build relationships across teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range

$36.62 - $45.77/hour
