Safety Specialist

A customer of Insight Global is looking to bring on a safety specialist to their team. The Safety Specialist supports efforts to provide a safe workplace for Company employees and subcontractors at a data center job site in Columbus AND Cincinnati. They also help ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT (department of transportation) regulations, as well as the safety rules and requirements of the Company's clients.


Day to day
- Present knowledge of construction methods, materials, and logistics
- Use company technology and systems
- Fill out OSH charts
- Review OSHA policy
- perform regular job site safety audits
- represent company in even of OSHA inspection
- perform safety compliance related training
- investigate equipment and auto accidents
- provide initial responder care for injured workers and subcontractors on-site
- collaborate with field leadership

Estimated pay $65,000-$90,000

Required Skills & Experience

Must haves:
- 2-5 years of experience in a safety role in an industrial/construction site
- HS diploma
- any BCSP (board certified safety professional) certification


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

plusses:
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510
- Familiarity with MSHA, DOT, and MUTCD
- Construction Health and Safety Technician certification (CHST)
