Senior Software Engineer

ABOUT MAVEN

Maven is the home for human expertise on the Internet. Our marketplace offers practical courses on the most important skills taught by top experts in your field. Think: learning AI Product Management from a product lead at OpenAI. Our cohort-based model means engagement rates are 80%+ instead of the 5-10% from video-based learning. Maven's marketplace has 500+ live courses, and experts have earned $100M+ on the platform. Over the next year, Maven will become the premier partner for AI transformation, where companies can level up their AI fluency across every function. We’ve onboarded early pilot partners, including Salesforce, Notion, Microsoft, Walmart, Cigna, Lattice, Mozilla, and Guild. We've raised $25 million from Andreessen Horowitz, First Round, and a supportive network of industry angels. ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re looking for full-stack product engineers to own big parts of our fast growing marketplace including our marketplace storefront, next-gen course platform, and recommendation and data systems. What makes this role great: High degree of ownership over our technical systems and product roadmap

Experiment with and use the latest agentic coding tools

Close knit team with the flexibility of remote work (in the US/Canada)

You should apply if you: Have 5+ years of experience shipping real features to a real user base

Think deeply about user facing product details, while also thinking about data model design and system architecture

Exhibit a high degree of agency and conscientiousness in your work

Are a crisp and thoughtful communicator

We use React+Nextjs, Python+FastAPI, Postgres+OpenSearch, OpenAI, dbt+Snowflake. TEAM AND CULTURE

Maven is a small, high-trust, high-ownership team (currently 20 total). We move fast, write often, and bias toward action. You will be expected to both think strategically and own end-to-end processes as part of your role. We post regular status updates to dedicated Slack channels to get input. If you’re blocked, everyone is there to help (but otherwise we’ll assume you’re on it). This makes Maven a great cross-functional learning environment. Expect direct feedback every single day! We are fully remote, with no-meeting Wednesdays and company demos on Fridays. We gather for a week-long offsite twice a year, where we discuss strategy, pitch new ideas, and get absurdly competitive over random games. COMPENSATION

$180 - $220k in salary with strong benefits and equity. LOCATION

Remote; US time zones +/- 1 hour HOW TO APPLY
