Job Summary:
The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Portland, Maine. The role involves providing acute and chronic medical care to adult patients with various medical conditions, including respiratory, sepsis, DKA, and altered mental status. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day and night shifts available, including weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Ventilator experience for IMC Registered Nurses, and experience with tracheostomy care and interpreting telemetry strips. 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level experience, teaching hospital experience, and Epic electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency.
- Float: Yes, IMC Registered Nurses may float to other IMC levels of care and medical-surgical units as needed, based on unit needs and individual skill sets.
- Additional Information: This position is a replacement for a previous employee and involves treating a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions. Candidates should demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, effective communication, and patient-centered care.
