Internship Opportunity

The purpose of this internship position, while under the direction of IT staff, is to support organization technology needs and develop practical technical skills in the IT field.

Alongside IT staff, you will assist with daily technical operations and support activities. Gain hands-on experience in an enterprise IT environment. Throughout your internship you will be exposed to technical support, hardware and software troubleshooting, network operations, cybersecurity practices and IT administration. With staff support, respond to questions and requests regarding computer-related problems via telephone, e-mail, and personal contact; logs questions and requests regarding computer-related problems via call tracking software. Performs related work as assigned.

Must be a currently enrolled student in a high school or college-level program.

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation. This position is not eligible for benefits.
