This role focuses on helping residents improve their ability to perform activities of daily living and achieve their highest level of independence. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program Current state COTA license Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist Assist residents with therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and independence Provide training in activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and bathing Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and adaptive equipment Join Our Team If you are passionate about helping others regain independence and want to work in a supportive, resident-centered environment, we would love to hear from you!
