Facility:
This is a tertiary Level II trauma center with a combined Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care department, featuring 38 beds and robust 24-hour support services including anesthesia, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, catheterization lab, radiology, and laboratory services. The facility also has an active Labor & Delivery department and receives newborn deliveries in the ED, providing a comprehensive and well-supported clinical environment.

Physician - Emergency Medicine - Urgent Care

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity at a combined ED/Urgent Care setting with approximately 5-8 shifts per month
• ABEM board certification is required for this location
• Average of 140 patient encounters per shift across a 38-bed combined ED/UC department
• Variable 12-hour shift schedules: 6a-6p, 6p-6a, and 10a-10p
• At least one Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) in urgent care available from 7:30a-12a with several overlapping shifts
• First day will be dedicated to orientation, scheduled on a Monday based on availability
• Provider must utilize "real time" Mobile Time Clock, preferably GPS-based
• Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60 days for a clean file
• Facility is a Level II trauma center with a Level III pediatric emergency designation
• Nearest airport: CWA (Central Wisconsin Airport)
• Lodging provided per cap
• Start date: September 2026 - Ongoing
