Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer to operate and maintain echocardiogram equipment, perform diagnostic tests, and ensure accurate image capturing to support cardiology diagnoses. The role involves direct patient interaction, equipment management, and collaboration with physicians to deliver high-quality cardiac imaging.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain echocardiogram equipment, inspecting and troubleshooting for proper functionality.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining tests, positioning, and selecting appropriate transducers.
• Capture and develop echocardiogram images while ensuring equipment cleanliness and supply readiness.
• Document test results accurately, develop prints, and maintain detailed records for physician review.
• Assist with procedures such as pericardiocentesis and work with clinical staff to ensure patient safety.
• Perform clerical duties including record keeping, report generation, and responding to departmental requests.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Echocardiography CCI or ARMS Echo Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an Echocardiogram Technician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of echocardiogram procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Possess strong communication skills for patient interactions and interdisciplinary coordination.
• High School Diploma or GED, plus completion of an approved echocardiogram training program.
• Basic clerical skills, including light typing and filing, are required.
