Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physician Assistant role based in Yucca Valley, CA. The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans under the supervision of a physician. Daily responsibilities include managing acute and chronic conditions, conducting follow-up visits, and providing patient education on preventive care, medications, and lifestyle modifications. The role also involves documenting encounters in the medical record, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, and supporting clinic workflows to ensure timely, efficient patient visits. The Physician Assistant will participate in quality improvement activities and uphold all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Current Physician Assistant license (or eligibility) in the state of California and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or ability to obtain certification within a defined timeframe. Clinical skills in history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, and management of common primary care conditions across diverse patient populations. Ability to order, interpret, and act on laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics, and to adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings. Strong patient communication skills, including explaining diagnoses and treatments in clear terms and providing empathetic, culturally sensitive care. Competence in electronic health record (EHR) documentation, prescription management, and maintaining accurate, compliant medical records. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, and to contribute to a respectful, team-oriented environment. Organizational and time-management skills to handle a steady patient volume, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail. CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred. Previous experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or primary care settings is preferred but not required; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
