About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Must have a valid RN license Certifications: Required certifications include BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Previous experience in an ICU setting and the ability to float as needed. Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a critical care environment. The unit generally staffs with a patient ratio of 1:2, and on occasion 1:3 if needed. Candidates should be adaptable to varying patient conditions and provide optimal care. This position requires the management of arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients. Nurses are expected to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips. The daily census is approximately 24 patients with a focus on various critical care diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support is provided by physical therapy, respiratory services, and other teams. The unit often addresses a larger volume of neurological and cardiac conditions. Extra shifts may be available for those interested. Successful candidates must have experience in Level 1 Trauma settings. Floating may be required to support staffing needs across the unit.
