Physician Assistant - Medical Oncology - MG

Major Function Position Responsibilities Diagnose, evaluate, and manage a variety of oncologic and hematologic conditions Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the cancer center physician team Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory studies, diagnostic imaging, and other tests Prescribe medications, chemotherapy, supportive care, and other treatments Monitor patients for treatment response, adverse effects, and disease progression Provide symptom management and supportive care, including pain management and palliative care when appropriate Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, side effect management, and survivorship planning Coordinate care with specialists, infusion services, radiation oncology, surgery, social work, nutrition, and other interdisciplinary team members Participate in quality improvement initiatives, tumor boards, clinical protocols, and evidence-based practice projects Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record (EMR) Qualifications Education & Experience Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience preferred Familiarity with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and clinical practice guidelines Certification / Licensure Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Active and unrestricted PA license in NJ DEA & NJ Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) license BLS certification Physical Requirements Lifting Lifting 20-50 lbs – occasionally; Climbing – occasionally; Kneeling – occasionally Lifting >50 lbs – never; Crouching – occasionally; Reaching – frequently Carrying – occasionally; Hearing – constantly; Walking – frequently Pushing – frequently; Talking – constantly; Vision – constantly Noise – rarely; Varied temperatures – occasionally; Cleaning agents – rarely Noxious odors – occasionally; Patient exposure – constantly; Operative equipment – never Benefits Information Review our benefits offerings #J-18808-Ljbffr Inspira Health
