Make a difference in the lives of young learners by taking on a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive Pre-K setting. This full-time contract position will have you working on-site, supporting a small caseload of six Pre-K students with significant needs, primarily on the autism spectrum. You’ll be part of a dedicated team focused on providing exceptional educational experiences tailored to each child’s unique abilities.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Educator Certification is required (documentation must be presented).
• Previous experience in early childhood and/or special education, especially with children on the autism spectrum, is highly valued.
• Ability to provide personal care, including toileting, as part of daily responsibilities.
• Compassion, adaptability, and strong collaboration skills.
• Open to travel candidates who can commit to the full contract duration.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction and support to Pre-K students, utilizing research-based strategies best suited for children with autism and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with team members and families.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents, therapists, and school personnel to ensure comprehensive support.
• Maintain compliance with all administrative and legal requirements, including timely completion of necessary documentation.

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 7:45am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday, at a single school site. The contract extends from as soon as possible through the end of May 2027, offering stability for travel professionals seeking a dynamic, hands-on role in special education.
