The Overlay Trade Operations team is responsible for managing trading controls, exception oversight, and operational integrity for the firm’s UMA Program. This role plays a critical part in supporting the end‑to‑end trading lifecycle and ensuring adherence to firm policies, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. This position operates in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment, requiring strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage complex operational scenarios. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to process improvement, risk mitigation, and the evolution of trading oversight within the UMA platform. Responsibility Summary: Develop and apply strong subject‑matter expertise with a clear understanding of business objectives, operational processes, and downstream client and branch impacts. Plan, execute, and partner with key stakeholders on projects and enhancements, including new product launches and upgrades to existing tools, to ensure business needs are met. Lead and support testing activities for enhancements and upgrades, including identifying, tracking, escalating, and helping resolve issues using sound judgment and established controls. Analyze exception reports, data, and complex information both qualitative and quantitative to identify trends, risks, and required actions, leveraging data to inform recommendations and decisions. Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance controls, reduce risk, and streamline or eliminate inefficiencies, taking initiative to support implementation of meaningful improvements. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, leaders, branches, product partners, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to resolve issues, support escalations, and build strong working relationships. Share knowledge, provide guidance, and support the development of associates through coaching, feedback, and collaboration. Support core work and ensure it is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with firm risk and control processes. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is preferred 4+ years of experience in a financial services environment (or equivalent) required Strong industry knowledge including an understanding of rules and regulations and how they impact the business area Must have proven problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills Must have the ability to proactively identify risks and design and implement effective controls to mitigate risks Strong communication and collaboration skills Strong time management and organizational skills High level of learning agility Experience working across different software applications, i.e. Excel, SQL, Power BI, to analyze data and utilize macros, formulas, and queries.
