Medical AssistantPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in San Antonio, TX.Job Details: Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm Location: San Antonio, TX 78221 Job Type: Contract Contract Length: 1 Year (Possibility of extension or conversion) Pay Range: $20 to $23/hour* *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Duties:Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.Record and document patient vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.Assist physicians and providers during examinations and minor procedures.Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and other basic clinical procedures as permitted.Administer medications and injections under provider direction.Perform point-of-care testing, including COVID-19, flu, and other screenings.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR/EHR system.Requirements:Education: High school diploma or GEDCertification(s): Current Medical Assistant Certification and BLSYears of experience: 1+ years of Medical assistant experienceSkills/Specialties/Technology: MS Word; MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; MS Outlook; EHR/EMRPreferably Bilingual in English and SpanishPrideGlobal and it's affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
