Systems Administrator

Job Description We are offering a long‑term contract employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator based in Henniker, New Hampshire, United States. The role involves providing expert support for a migration project and working closely with faculty and staff. This role is within the educational industry, specifically dealing with Learning Management Systems (LMS). Responsibilities Provide expert support to faculty, instructional designers, and staff in utilizing the Blackboard LMS. Guide and assist in the upgrade from Blackboard Learn 1.3 to Blackboard Ultra. Consult with instructional designers to understand the current setup and address issues related to course design and functionality. Review and work through archives from previous administrators to ensure a smooth transition. Develop and produce instructional videos and training materials to help users navigate and utilize Blackboard Ultra effectively. Actively participate in the execution of the migration project, offering strategic advice. Regularly collaborate with instructional designers to understand the existing setup and address design‑related queries. Provide direct support to faculty, helping them with any issues or questions about using Blackboard. Develop and implement system upgrades and database upgrades. Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Blackboard LMS. Qualifications Must hold at least 2 years of experience in the field of Systems Administration. Proficiency in working with databases is required. Experience with Blackboard and Learning Management Systems is necessary. Strong knowledge in System Administration is essential. Ability to provide deskside support is important. Must have experience in migration planning and migration activities. Must be capable of handling application upgrades, database upgrades, and system upgrades. Proficiency in upgrade management is required. Experience working on upgrade projects is essential.
