Senior Scientist, Computational Biology
Tessera Therapeutics
Tessera Therapeutics seeks a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology to advance genome editing technologies through multi-omics data analysis and method development. The role involves collaborating with experimental teams, developing NGS pipelines, and presenting findings to drive program decisions in a hybrid Somerville, MA setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot NGS analysis pipelines for multi-omics research projects
- Process and analyze data from research and preclinical initiatives to develop testable hypotheses
- Collaborate with experimental scientists and platform teams to ensure effective data utilization
- Present scientific findings to senior leadership and cross-functional audiences to inform decision-making
Requirements
- PhD with 5+ years experience, or MS with 10+ years, or BS with 12+ years in academic or industry research
- Expertise in genome editing technologies and off-target discovery assays including WGS and targeted sequencing
- Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting NGS analysis pipelines in cloud environments
- Proficiency with AWS, version control, reproducible analysis practices, and software development standards
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Nextflow or Dagster
- Familiarity with AI tools for computational work
