Job Opportunity: Cardiac Electrophysiologist

Our organization is actively looking to recruit a full-time cardiac electrophysiologist to enhance our Heart and Vascular team, which currently includes 18 cardiologists, 2 electrophysiologists, and 5 advanced practice clinicians. As the largest multi-specialty group in the East Bay region of San Francisco, we are proud to have over 400 providers dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare to our communities.

Our advanced Heart and Vascular program offers a wide range of services, from basic preventative and general cardiology to specialized care, including:

• Complex coronary interventions
• Structural heart and valvular procedures
• Electrophysiology
• Comprehensive cardiac imaging
• Advanced heart failure management
• Clinical research across four hospitals and various outpatient clinics

Our cardiac electrophysiology program is comprehensive, performing both routine and advanced procedures such as:

• Pulse field ablation and epicardial procedures (with and without mechanical support)
• All types of CIED implants, including leadless devices
• CIED lead extraction
• Left atrial appendage occlusion

We are also engaged in multiple clinical trials focusing on:

• PFA and thermal ablation
• Surgical hybrid atrial fibrillation ablation
• VT ablation
• CIED diagnostics and implants

As we continue to expand our services to better serve the East Bay community and beyond, we are in search of a full-time cardiac electrophysiologist to support our growth and uphold our commitment to prioritizing patients and people.

Location

The Cardiac Electrophysiology laboratory is located at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland, CA. This facility serves as the tertiary referral center for cardiac care in the East Bay region and features two EP laboratories, including a hybrid OR suite.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Possession of an active and unrestricted California Medical License

Responsibilities

• Full-time CIED device clinic, including remote monitoring
• Ambulatory cardiac monitoring program

Compensation and Benefits

• Residency stipend of $1,000 per month for residents committing to hire for up to 12 months

The stated compensation range is a base salary for full-time (1.0 FTE) clinicians. This base rate may be adjusted based on factors such as training, experience, community needs, and other relevant considerations.
