Heavy Haul Driver
Location: Andover, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Job OverviewWe are looking for talented and experienced Heavy Haul Drivers to become part of our team. The perfect candidate will possess a solid background in the safe and efficient transportation of oversized and overweight cargo.
Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy haul trucks to transport oversized and overweight shipments safely.
- Plan and navigate routes in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure loads are secured properly for safe transit.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on the truck.
- Keep accurate logs and records of cargo, routes, and hours of service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the organization professionally.
- At least 2 years of experience in heavy haul transportation.
- Possession of a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
- Strong understanding of state and federal transportation laws.
- Capability to operate and maintain heavy haul equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to be away from home for extended periods, including trips exceeding one week.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Wind Industry Transportation Professional Advanced Certification (WITPAC)
