Summary An established California law firm is seeking an Unlawful Detainer Attorney to handle high-volume eviction and landlord-tenant litigation matters. The role involves managing cases from intake through trial, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and making frequent in-person court appearances. Ideal candidates will have strong litigation skills, deep knowledge of California landlord-tenant law, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities Drafting Notices: Prepare 3-Day and 30-Day Notices for the tenant. Preparing Complaints and Responses: Draft unlawful detainer complaints and responses to be filed in court. Requesting Trials: Promptly request an immediate trial to expedite the process. Serving Defendants: Ensure proper service of the unlawful detainer papers to the defendants. Obtaining Judgments: Assist in obtaining judgments from the court. May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals. May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs. Experience and Skills Teamwork: Ability to work independently while managing multiple matters and collaborating with a supportive team. Client Interaction: Excellent communication and persuasive speaking skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. Legal Research: Proficiency in legal research to gather and analyze case law and statutes relevant to unlawful detainer cases. Writing Skills: Strong writing skills to draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements. Qualifications Licensed and admitted to practice in the State of California. Work Schedule The work week is typically Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees may be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week following a 90-day training period and upon management approval. 100% remote may also be possibility upon management approval. Salary Range The salary for this position typically ranges from 100,000.00-150,000.00, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate\'s specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs. A corporate office environment with a professional setting, characterized by a quiet to moderate noise level. Employees may work in individual or shared workspaces, with standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
