Job Summary: The Mental Health Aide provides supportive care to individuals with mental health challenges, substance use issues, or both, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires a compassionate individual who can assist in the delivery of mental health services while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities.

• Monitor patient behavior and report changes to mental health professionals.

• Support therapeutic programs and group activities.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient dignity at all times.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

• Enforce safety and security protocols to maintain a safe environment.

• Keep accurate records of patient interactions and care.

   

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certification in mental health or substance use preferred.

• Prior experience in a security role or mental health setting is desirable.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage crises and defuse stressful situations.

• Understand principles of mental health, substance use, and recovery.
