The division offers a broad clinical scope within a strong academic environment and promotes robust multidisciplinary collaboration across pediatric subspecialties. This position is well suited for a motivated, collaborative physician seeking an academic clinical practice. The successful candidate will be expected to provide independent inpatient and outpatient care, including endoscopic procedures. Applicants with established or emerging expertise in a focused clinical area within pediatric gastroenterology are particularly encouraged to apply. The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at USF is known for its collegial culture and commitment to team-based care, academic growth, and excellent patient outcomes.QualificationsMedical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.For Associate/Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization. Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology.ResponsibilitiesTeaching Duties: Participates in the educational and training activities of the USF Department of Pediatrics which include teaching of residents and medical students, committee membership, research and quality improvement projects, lectures, and grand rounds.Clinical Duties: Provides inpatient coverage at Tampa General Hospital for pediatric gastroenterology patients, performs endoscopies, and manages patients in the outpatient setting.About the companyWorking at USFWith approximately 16,000 employees, the University of South Florida is one of the largest employers in the Tampa Bay area.
