Job Description Purpose of the role To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Accountabilities Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. Barclays Services Corp. seeks Senior ETL Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available): Develop, test, maintain and support ETL applications for the Market Surveillance Area. Responsible for code development and modification in surveillance projects. Build and improve data pipelines, coverage, SLA and reduce the cost of Surveillance. Oversee project document management of ETL technical system specifications, processes flows, unit tests and results. Create and tune complex stored procedures and queries for data management and extraction. Collaborate with the developers across the globe on projects, releases, and production support/issues by working closely with run the bank (RTB) on investigation and analysis related tasks. Develop Surveillance components in Informatica Power Centre, SQL, and Shell scripts. Follow TDD/BDD approach to ensure scenario coverage. Deploy and test developed components on lower environments and prepare production. May telecommute pursuant to company policies (hybrid role). Minimum Salary: $189,592 per year Maximum Salary: $208,552 per year The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
