Senior Refrigeration Mechanic – Apalachee Correctional Institution This position is part of the Maintenance Department at Apalachee Correctional Institution. The mission is to maintain a safe, secure, and efficient environment for staff, inmates, and visitors. Job Duties Install and repair heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and food service equipment. Provide on‑the‑job training to supervised inmates in HVAC systems. Maintain records on refrigerant use and recovery in compliance with DEP regulations. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. Diagnose problems with HVAC, electronic, pneumatic, and digital control systems. Maintain custody and control of supervised inmates, prepare progress reports, and participate in required departmental training. Benefits Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
