TITLE OF POSITION: Maintenance Tech CLASSIFICATION: Maintenance Tech

BASIC PURPOSE: Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs various maintenance tasks to ensure preventative/proactive maintenance and timely repair per written and verbal procedures in a safe, efficient, and quality manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is a 2nd or 3rd Shift Position

1. During regular production periods, performs repair and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and controls ensuring minimal delay

or downtime.

2. Engages in numerous preventative maintenance procedures specifically pertaining to overall machinery operations controlled by

electrical components.

3. Must demonstrate proficiency in the following;

Conveyor Drives *Hydraulics

Pneumatic/Compressor Blueprint Reading

Welding/Torch Operation *Basic Electrical 1

*Basic Electrical 2

*Programmable Logic Controllers

*Hydraulic Schematics

4. Demonstrates 110% compliance with safety and environmental procedures.

5. Specialized skills or technical training may be substituted to fulfill part of this requirement at the discretion of maintenance

management.

6. Must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, example, and the absence of crisis through preventative maintenance.

7. Additional duties as may be required.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent. Industrial electrical maintenance certification or equivalent experience and training. Minimum of five years' experience in direct industrial electrical procedures. Must possess ability to follow written and verbal directions. Must possess physical capability to move freely throughout the facility, walk, stand, bend, use ladders, lift fifty pounds on regular basis, and operate powered machinery and tools. Must be trained in hazard recognition, PPE requirements and use, lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, emergency procedures, and any other safety requirements for employment at Browntown Foundry.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: This job reports to the Maintenance Supervisor of the shift.
