About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating Day/Night every other weekend Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 Years Experience and one previous travel assignment or one month per diem. License: Must have active state nursing license prior to start date. Certifications: BCLS, ONS Chemotherapy Certification Must-Have: - BMT experience required - Strong Med Surg experience considered Description: This position involves providing nursing care in a Blood and Marrow Transplant unit. The nurse will administer chemotherapy and manage patient care in an inpatient oncology setting. Experience in interpreting dysrhythmias and administering IV therapy is essential. The nurse will work in a setting with a patient ratio of 1:4-5. Responsibilities include floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed. This facility requires all employees to be vaccinated for the flu. Initial schedules will be determined based on the needs of the unit, with subsequent schedules accommodating nurse preferences. Candidates must have experience in hematology, oncology or blood and marrow transplant. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role. The focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care to adults and geriatric populations. Candidates are expected to maintain a positive and professional demeanor throughout their employment.
