Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Nuclear Medicine TechnologistOperates Nuclear Medicine equipment to obtain quality diagnostic images. Prepares and administers radionuclides. Ensures that all aspects of patient radiology records are processed and documented properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner.Education and TrainingGraduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology, and/or a graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.Registered as Nuclear Medicine Technologist by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and the State of Ohio.BLS required.ExperienceOne (1) year related hospital experience preferred.Other Skills, Competencies and QualificationsAbility to administer intravenous injections of radioisotopes, properly position patients, and operate scintillation equipment.Analytical ability sufficient to use mathematical formulas to calculate amounts of radioactivity to be injected and compute laboratory results.Adheres to all State of Ohio Department of Radiation Protection Bureau's regulatory requirements as they pertain to WRH's Radioactive Materials License (RAM) which includes but is not limited to: Receipt of radioactive materials.Storage, decay and disposal of radioactive materials.Proper use of personal dosimetry.Completion of all required radiation surveys.Calibrations of all appropriate radiation equipment.Schedule: Monday-Friday 6a-230p, Full-time, 40 hours per week.Rotation: On Call every other Saturday 6a-10aEducationPreferredDiploma or better in Radiography.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
