Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Stepdown Unit

Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) Acute Care Hospital, Chicago, IL Department: Intermediate Care / Stepdown Schedule: Full Time – Nights (7p-7a, 3–12 hour shifts) Compensation: $36.75 – $55.70 per hour (approximately $441–$668 gross per 12‑hour shift), commensurate with experience. Bonus: $10,000 sign‑on bonus available for qualified candidates. Eligibility and payout terms apply. Discussion during interview. Responsibilities Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff. Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization. Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Drive quality improvement and operational excellence. Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager. Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice. Qualifications Current and valid state Registered Nurse license. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate upon hire and maintenance. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintenance. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care. Non‑OB Facilities – NRP required 90 days after hire and maintained. Professional certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.
