We are currently looking for a Board-Certified, highly skilled orthopedic surgeon to become part of our outstanding team at the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) located in the beautiful city of Phoenix, Arizona.

Purpose:
Deliver exceptional musculoskeletal surgical care to all Veterans.

Mission:
Provide high-quality, comprehensive musculoskeletal surgical services in a timely manner to enhance functionality and improve the quality of life for Veterans.

Vision:
Actively seek the best evidence-based, cutting-edge musculoskeletal surgical practices through ongoing research, education, and innovation.

As an integral member of our team, you will carry out a variety of orthopedic surgical procedures, including:

• Basic fracture stabilization
• Soft tissue repair
• Arthroscopy
• Arthroplasty (with a current emphasis on primary and revision total hip and knee replacements)

Note: An adult joint reconstruction fellowship is highly preferred and will be given additional consideration.

Salary:
Attractive salary package, including an annual performance bonus and regular salary increments.

Paid Time Off:
Enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and a potential 5-day paid absence for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Retirement:
Traditional federal pension (with a 5-year vesting period) and a federal 401k plan with contributions of up to 5% from the organization.

Insurance:
Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance (many federal insurance options can be maintained into retirement).

CME:
Potential reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year.

Education Debt Reduction Program:
Eligible for up to $200,000 in student loan repayment.*

Malpractice:
Liability protection provided at no cost, including tail coverage.

Contract:
No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.

• Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic program.
• Must hold one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory, maintaining a current, active status.
• U.S. Citizenship is required (non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA Policy).
