Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will help patients get well by implementing occupational therapy programs and activities, following recovery plans, and delivering therapy treatments. You will address the whole patient and view them as an individual, aiming to restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence. You will adapt to patients’ needs, find joy in the variety of work settings, collaborate with peers, and refer patients to additional care when necessary. You will put patients first, ensuring they and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program meeting AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
