Paramedic

Overview This position is contingent upon successful contract submission and award. Prevailance is seeking a Paramedic to support training of military personnel. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with instructional experience who thrive in physically demanding, austere training environments. Primary Duties Provide medical coverage for jump/parachute and dive operations Conduct and support Underwater Egress Training, and Emergency Parachuting and Water Survival Training Assess patient complaints and determine the best course of action Responsible for providing first aid or life support to sick or injured personnel As necessary coordinate transport to higher medical care. Responsible for inventorying medical supplies, restocking required items, and submitting purchase requests for missing items as necessary Travel – 10% Requirements Nationally Registered Paramedic with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience Possess knowledge of trauma and be qualified to identify dive medical emergencies Qualified for Prehospital Trauma Life Support, Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support Must have never had paramedic certification suspended or revoked Ability to complete annual Skill Level 4 testing on the current United States Departments of the Army and Air Force Joint Prehospital Emergency Care Protocols Must have SECRET Security Clearance or be eligible to receive one Able to complete a 4-mile ruck, on flat ground, with 25-30 lbs. in under one (1) hour bi-annually. First Aid / CPR or Wilderness First Responder certification preferred Familiarity with USAF SERE program structure and hierarchy Education High School diploma or GED #J-18808-Ljbffr
