Epic Travel Staffing is hiring an Interim - Director of Maintenance

Shift: Non-exempt, Days, 7a-3p (8x5, 40 hrs per week)
Nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency/disaster coverage required as needed

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Five years' related work/management experience, including two years' experience in maintenance, installation, construction, equipment repairs, utilities, and facilities operations (preferred; may consider substituting education for experience)
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to healthcare facility operations (Federal, State, Local, Joint Commission)
• Thorough understanding of electricity; ability to read and understand schematic prints and drawings
• Thorough understanding of HVAC equipment and controls, including pneumatic and hydraulic devices
• Proficiency with TMS computer software system
• Bachelor's degree or related technical college degree preferred; minimum High School graduate with additional technical college training
• Preferred ASHE Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification

Other Details:

• Directs programs providing maintenance and construction to facilities and properties; develops programs to operate and maintain equipment, utility systems, building systems, and mechanical, electrical, fire, and security systems
• Develops policies and procedures to enhance and measure quality and safety
• Coordinates activities with other departments and with consultants reviewing construction plans
• Assists in preparing and maintaining the departmental budget
• Performs facility/property inspections to establish proper maintenance and repairs
• Responsible for departmental personnel matters: employment duties, time/attendance, training, evaluations, terminations, and grievances
• Implements and maintains safety/disaster programs and Interim Life Safety Logs
• Maintains facilities in Joint Commission compliance; forecasts supply needs and estimates costs
• Conducts daily departmental huddles; attends divisional and organizational meetings
• Excellent verbal/written communication, organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-stress situations
