DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Saw Operator is responsible forusing a computerized cuttingsystem,the Saw Operator cuts vinyl to the exact dimensions of the parts needed for the final assembly of windows.Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. Operation of various hand tools to manually construct windowunits Liftand move vinyllinealsfromthestorage area tosawworkstation. Movement of carts in and out of production workstations. Sort and select the correct batch toprocessbased online’sscheduleflow report. Operatesafelyequipmentwithcomputerizedsystem. Loadingvinylcomponentsinto the production carts. Place scrap in the corresponding barrel(as per 5S process). Maintaincorrect partsdropsinventory listed in the system present in the drop binlocation? Ensures overall quality of work produced by performing quality audits and engaging in problem solving activities to resolve issues ofconcern. Auditquality checkof cut parts. Performs 5S & housekeeping asexpected. Duringline stoppages, performs downtime duties assigned to this workstation. Qualifications Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift. Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex. Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32” Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbleto convert fractions to decimals. Ability to read andunderstandschedule’sworkflowreport, and written instructions. Capable of using computerized equipment Ability to moveproductioncarts.
