Supervisor - Environmental Services (Evenings)

Job Summary Responsible for supervising Environmental Services Workers. Maintain consistent workflow and assign staff to areas including occupied patient rooms cleaning, discharged patient rooms, nursing areas, work requests, public and private restrooms, public areas, linen services, trash and hazardous waste disposal, floor care, and special projects. Serve as liaison and first point of contact for all internal and external issues related to EVS operations and services provided to patients, staff, and visitors. Ensure staff has proper equipment, supplies, chemicals, and tools. Be present and visible on inpatient floors, rounding on units, patients and nursing leadership. Qualifications Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of leadership experience, preferably in an environmental services role Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred Experience using LEAN or other performance improvement methods to transform operations preferred Must complete GWUH Hazardous Materials Training for Generators within 60 days of hire Skills Excellent customer service skills Strong oral and written communication skills Strategic planning skills Ability to interact as a business partner with other departments, executives, and external customers/partners EEO Statement All UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
