Summary The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides patient treatment and therapy by following an established plan of care directed and supervised by an OTR/L and is responsible for mentoring Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities and facilitates the provision of excellent customer service. Responsibilities Provides patient therapy and treatment. Utilizes judgment and skills in implementing treatment plans, ensuring timely physician communication and up-to-date documentation. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service, sets an example, and monitors and holds co-workers accountable. Teamwork: Answers questions, communicates hospital and departmental information, collaborates with other healthcare team members, assists in orienting new employees or students. Development: Proactively shares clinical expertise, takes initiative for professional growth, and maintains clinical competencies. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. No prior experience required. Licensure / Registration / Certification Current NC Board of Occupational Therapy license; Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligible.
