LandCo Construction Services, a locally owned and family-oriented civil construction company, is looking for a hardworking and dependable Skilled Laborer to join our growing team. This is a full-time, hourly position with growth potential. If you're reliable, physically capable, and ready to learn the trade from the ground up, we want to hear from you.

About Us:

LandCo is a small but growing civil construction firm specializing in residential infrastructure-roads, drainage, and utilities-for new developments. Our team of 20+ includes operators, laborers, mechanics, and office staff who value hard work, precision, and team spirit. We take pride in the quality of our work and the relationships we build.

What You'll Do:

Site Prep: Clear debris, dig and backfill trenches, assist with grading, and maintain clean, safe job sites
Utility Work: Assist with laying pipe, setting structures, compacting backfill, and supporting underground infrastructure work
Equipment Support: Spot for equipment operators, handle materials and tools, and help with equipment maintenance as needed
Safety: Follow all site safety protocols, wear required PPE, and report hazards or unsafe behavior
Miscellaneous: Any other duties assigned by Superintendents & Foreman as needed for the job

Day-to-Day Expectations:

Working Conditions: 100% outdoor, hands-on field work in various weather; physical labor required
Schedule: Monday through Friday, plus occasional Saturdays, start times vary; 40 hours not guaranteed due to project timelines and weather
Travel: Must be able to travel daily to job sites in the Greater Baton Rouge area (no overnight travel)
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required

Qualifications Required:

Experience in construction, landscaping, or similar physical labor (1+ year preferred)
Willingness to work outdoors and handle physically demanding tasks
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Qualifications Preferred:

Previous civil construction or infrastructure experience
Familiarity with construction tools, trench work, or grading
