Mental Health Therapist

We are a niche grief and trauma group practice rooted in trauma-informed practices. Founded in 2020, we have grown steadily while protecting our clinicians from burnout and maintaining a high standard of care. We work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating complex trauma, prolonged grief, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. The Role This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Geneva, IL office, with up to one virtual day per week. Some evening and/or weekend availability may be needed. You will provide individual psychotherapy to adult clients, with a caseload curated to reflect your clinical specialty. Responsibilities Provide individual psychotherapy to adult clients presenting with grief, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Maintain an average of 288 completed sessions per quarter for full-time benefits. This averages to 24 completed sessions per week, 48 out of 52 weeks of the year. Complete clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, intake/discharge notes) within 24 hours of session. Participate in weekly group supervision and quarterly team retreats. Collaborate with client treatment teams (PCP, psychiatrist, etc.) as needed. Attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Option to lead or co-facilitate workshops and groups, if desired. Required Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work. Active licensure in Illinois as an LSW or LPC. Demonstrated clinical experience providing grief and/or trauma therapy. Completed training in a grief-affirming, trauma-informed treatment modality (e.g., EMDR, somatic therapy, IFS/parts work, or similar approach). Clinical experience with C-PTSD, traumatic grief, dissociation, attachment wounds, and/or identity-based trauma. Available 30 hours a week. Ideal Candidate A defined clinical niche within the trauma field. Additional training in somatic therapy, IFS/parts work, grief therapy, or polyvagal-informed care. W2 employment; pay based on number of sessions completed, not a percentage to allow for more fair compensation. $200 monthly healthcare reimbursement (premiums, prescriptions, or out-of-pocket).
