Description

• Conduct thorough assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients employing standardized tests and detailed observations.
• Create individualized treatment pathways that prioritize both short and long-term speech, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused one-on-one therapy addressing communication skills, language proficiency, fluency, vocal dynamics, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapy colleagues, nurses, physicians, and family members to foster seamless care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress outside the therapy environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy, ensuring consistency of care throughout every patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and timely medical records in accordance with local, state, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with peers to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
