- Conduct thorough assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients employing standardized tests and detailed observations.
- Create individualized treatment pathways that prioritize both short and long-term speech, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
- Deliver focused one-on-one therapy addressing communication skills, language proficiency, fluency, vocal dynamics, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate with physical and occupational therapy colleagues, nurses, physicians, and family members to foster seamless care approaches.
- Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress outside the therapy environment.
- Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy, ensuring consistency of care throughout every patient's journey.
- Maintain precise and timely medical records in accordance with local, state, and institutional regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with peers to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in providing evidence-based therapies suitable for various age groups, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Flexibility in adapting therapeutic methods to meet the unique cultural and linguistic needs of clients.
- Robust clinical judgment complemented by strong problem-solving skills.
