Job Title: Facilities Specialist
Location: West Columbia, SC
Hire Type: Contract to Hire

Pay: $19 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

We're seeking a hands-on Facilities Specialist to support daily operations within a manufacturing facility. This role focuses on general building maintenance, workspace setup, and facility support tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable performing a variety of maintenance and light trade duties.

Job Duties:

• Build, modify, and install workstations, benches, shelving, and other production support equipment.
• Break down, reconfigure, and set up offices and work areas as business needs change.
• Perform general facility maintenance including painting, patching, and minor carpentry.
• Assist with basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Support preventative maintenance activities throughout the facility.
• Respond to facility-related work orders and maintenance requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime during facility work.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, or a related role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems is a plus.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
