Visual Designer

Overview We need a designer who can’t stop designing. Someone who geeks out over type pairings, obsesses over whitespace, and gets genuinely excited when a brand system clicks into place. You’ll work across 100+ active clients spanning higher ed, manufacturing, fintech, eCommerce, and everything in between — which means Monday might be a university rebrand and Friday might be a campaign concept for a Fortune 500. What You’ll Be Doing Build and extend brand identities across digital and print; develop visual systems that hold up across websites, social, paid media, pitch decks, and beyond. Concept and design responsive websites and landing pages with a strong UX sensibility; create high‑fidelity prototypes and collaborate directly with developers. Contribute original creative ideas for digital ad campaigns, social content and integrated marketing efforts. Work with the studio team (animation, motion design, social content) to ensure the visual direction translates beautifully into motion and video. Explore and apply generative AI tools to accelerate ideation, production and iteration. Who You Are A self‑starter who sees what needs to happen and moves. Someone who lives for typography and graphic design; has opinions about kerning and is not afraid to share them. Versatile, capable of delivering clean and minimal or bold and expressive, illustrative, editorial, whatever the brand requires. Thrives in fast‑paced environments, delivering high quality quickly. Takes feedback well, iterates fast, and understands that great design comes from collaboration, not ego. Willing to take risks and push for ideas that surprise, challenge and move the needle. Passionate about marketing and understands design is there to drive results. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent portfolio and experience). 1–2+ years of professional design experience, preferably with some agency exposure. Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Strong portfolio showing range across web design, brand identity, and digital marketing collateral. Solid understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and interaction patterns. Excellent communication skills; can present and defend design decisions. Familiarity with HTML/CSS and how designs translate to development is a plus. Motion design or animation skills are a plus but not required.
