Barrick -Treasury Analyst

Treasury Analyst – responsible for a wide spectrum of finance and treasury activities within a small Treasury team, reporting to the Senior Manager. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end bullion sales and settlement processes, including metal transfers, refinery coordination, banking transactions, royalty and streaming payments, and counterparty deliveries. Execute treasury operational activities, including cash management, wire payments, short-term investments, SAP Treasury transactions, reporting, and treasury system administration. Monitor market, credit, and financial risks related to metals, foreign exchange, energy, interest rates, and banking counterparties, ensuring effective risk management and compliance. Maintain strong relationships with banks, refineries, and internal stakeholders while supporting KYC, compliance, internal controls, and treasury governance activities. Coordinate with Accounting, Tax, Legal, and other business functions to ensure the accuracy of treasury transactions, financial reporting, and derivative activities. Support capital market initiatives, senior management presentations, strategic projects, and continuous improvement efforts across the Treasury function. Other special projects and duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field required. 2–5 years of experience in Treasury, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required. CPA, CFA, or progress toward a professional designation preferred. Knowledge of Treasury Management Systems, SAP Treasury, Bloomberg, and/or Mineman preferred. Strong analytical, financial, and accounting knowledge, including an interest in financial markets and derivative instruments. Advanced attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, customer-focused approach. Self‑motivated team player capable of working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
