Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years of experience required License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: C-EFM certification BLS certification NRP certification Must-Have: Must have completed at least one travel assignment. Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care to patients during the labor and delivery process. Nurses are expected to take postpartum patients when needed. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. On-call duty of 8 hours per 6-week scheduling period is expected. Experience with high-risk deliveries and various laboring protocols is essential. The role includes administering medications and managing IV therapy. Patient assessments and pain management will be part of daily responsibilities. Interdisciplinary support from various healthcare teams is available. Nurses will be responsible for maintaining a safe and effective environment for patients. Documentation and adherence to protocols are crucial components of the role. Nurses should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple patients. Experience must include a minimum of 2 years within the last 7 years. Two supervisory references are required, including one from the most recent assignment. No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Compliance with all facility protocol and completion of necessary training modules is required.
