Kneale Administration Building 8 hours per day/12 month position Experience with commercial and industrial electrical installation and repair. Nebraska Journeyman Electrical certification required. Valid Nebraska drivers license is required. District paid health and dental insurance. Compensation based on experience.

Job Description

Position Title: Electrician Job ID #: 72220 (GR2500) Reports To: Grounds Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly, non-exempt At-Will Position: This position is an "at-will" position and may be terminated, with or without cause, at any time at the sole discretion of the Superintendent or Superintendent's designee. Position Purpose: The Electrician maintains electrical systems and their components in safe operating condition; providing information on proper operation; modifying/installing electrical services and determining the most efficient installation of additional systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyzes drawing for the purpose of identifying location of new and existing electrical systems and determining the efficient installation of additional systems.
• Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
• Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
• Installs electrical systems including underground electrical conduit, fire alarms, switchboards, audio visual alarms, etc. for the purpose of maintaining them in safe operating condition.
• Orders equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
• Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
• Repairs various items, systems and/or components (e.g. scoreboards, stage lighting, HVAC motors, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that items are available and in safe working condition.
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Transports various items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the job site.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or the equivalent
• Valid Nebraska Drivers License
• Current Nebraska Journeyman electrical license required, contractors license preferred.
