East Austin Laundry Attendant

JOB SUMMARY:To ensure the cleanliness and condition of all hotel linens. This includes washing, drying, folding, hanging, ironing, and storing. Laundry Attendants are responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Sort all linens and treat stainsLoad all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agentsTake wet, clean items and dry as directedSort and fold or hang clean dried itemsMaintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to manager / directorMaintaining all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needsPerform additional laundry services when necessaryClean and maintain laundry room areas while keeping up with standards set by managementEnsure high level of customer service is maintained at all timesAssist guests with all questions and reasonable requestsEnsure accurate information is provided to all internal and external customersKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESMust be able to convey information and ideas clearlyMust be able to evaluate and choose alternate courses of action quickly and accuratelyMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessaryMust have the ability to gather information from all sources available and know how to use this information to best resolve a problem or needMust be effective in listening to and understanding the concerns and issues raised by other employees or customersMust communicate effectively with all levels of managementMaintain high standards of personal appearance and groomingMaintain regular attendanceAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers and patronsMust be flexible to provide assistance to management team in a 24/7 operating environmentMust have reliable transportationQUALIFICATIONS:Visual acuity to inspect and monitor cleaning standardsPrior experience in a hotel environment preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Working extended hours may be required as neededRegularly required to stand, walk, sit, use repetitive wrist and finger movement, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlWork on a computer for extended periods of time, approximately 8+ hours per dayAbility to lift up to 50 pounds #J-18808-Ljbffr La Corsha Hospitality Group
